Goldmont Engineering repairs and fabricates components for exploration and surface drilling rigs and associated equipment. We design and fabricate modifications to improve safety, functionality or wear life. Examples of recent work we have done on surface drilling rigs are:
- steel and aluminium drill rig masts
- crawler frames
- chassis repairs
- variety of fixed and hinged safety guards for rotating parts
Examples of associated equipment fabricated by Goldmont are:
- breakout spanners for drill string rods including a Goldmont designed multi-fit breakout spanner
- trapezoid swamp track plates (Goldmont designed) to reduce ground pressure when operating on salt lakes or boggy ground
- support truck equipment:
o water tanks
o fuel tanks
o drill rod racks
o bunded tanks for drill rod oil
